Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 5358e. Bbl. 23 5/8" w/ MMC import marking. Top of receiver is marked "dot/1943" denoting mfg. by Waffen Werke Brunn I in 1943. Left side of receiver has "Mod. 98" marking. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Inverted V front sight w/ later K98k style hood. Rear sight slider is mismatched, all other visible parts are matching as renumbered by Mitchell's or the Soviets. Laminated stock set w/ cupped buttplate. Left side sling provisions. Cleaning rod is present. CONDITION: Mitchell's refinished stock set shows some minor handling wear. Metal retains 95% arsenal rework blue w/ some silvering on the exposed edges & a few small spots of light oxidation. Good bore w/ a couple spots of pitting & some frosting.
